Artist Statement.
\nI am passionate about creating, whether it’s a simple mud pie or intricate artwork. The magic of bringing something to life drives my artistic journey.<\/p>\n
Inspired by the American West, my Kansas upbringing immersed me in nature and animals, shaping my artistic vision. My work blends cherished moments with a quest for semi-realism and detail.<\/p>\n
Reflecting on a map by Lewis & Clark that notes “Innumerable Amounts of Buffalo,” I ponder the history and fauna that shaped my land. Recently, I’ve embraced the theme of “Imperfectly Imperfect,” celebrating rough lines and leaving flaws visible, finding beauty in their authenticity.<\/p>\n
My creative process begins long before I enter the studio.
