During this intensive, informative, and upbeat workshop, you\u2019ll explore your artistic voice and create cold wax and oil paintings that you are proud of! I\u2019ll do several demos throughout the workshop, and you\u2019ll receive lots of personal instruction to help you work through your paintings, get \u201cout of your head,\u201d and move forward in new and exciting ways. All in an encouraging, nurturing, and fun environment!<\/p>\n
We\u2019ll explore multiple techniques, including:
\n– Creating an exciting underpainting with acrylic paints
\n– Layering
\n– Making multiple textures
\n– Mark making
\n– Mixing colors that create harmony
\n– Stenciling
\n– Drawing into and on top of cold wax
\n– Glazing with cold wax
\n– Masking
\n– Creating patterns
\n– Editing for clarity
\n– Adding the final \u201cjewelry\u201d<\/p>\n
We\u2019ll also spend lots of time painting and evaluating your creations’ design, composition, and value. Additionally, you\u2019ll get a list of questions to ask yourself to determine if your paintings are finished! You\u2019ll walk away feeling confident about creating cold wax paintings that are YOU!<\/p>\n
