Thank you so much to all of you who made it to the Opening Night last Friday. I had such a wonderful time seeing you all. I wished I had more time to chat with you individually.
Art and Blessing
While out to dinner with friends on New Year’s eve, we all decided that, instead of making resolutions, we would identify a theme for the year instead. One person chose Gratitude; another Love. I chose Blessing. And this series of paintings was a symbolic nod to my year’s theme.
There is a blessing or message in each paintings in this series. Some of these messages can be read and some are no longer distinguishable. The viewers who came to the show enjoyed trying to discern these messages and connect with them.
For those of you who couldn’t make it to the Opening, the show will be up until February 10th, at which time some of my work will be transported to a corporate site in Denver (ooh, I am excited).
SYNC Gallery has hours Thursdays 1-4 pm, Fridays 1-4 pm (First Friday will be 6-9 pm instead) and Saturdays 12-4… or by appointment. If you would like to come to 931 Santa Fe Dr (Denver) to visit, please let me know as I would love to meet you there.
